This is the true story of my life; just a part of it.  Names have been changed to protect the privacy of individuals and places.  It is written in a no-nonsense, quirky way which people have said reflects the way I actually speak!   In any event, I wrote this book and published it with the hopes that those reading it will gain insight into some of their experiences or certain aspects of their life they are currently going through.  I have made many mistakes in my life and gone through some dark periods, but it culminated in my understanding of my self.  I hope you enjoy it. Reading 'Into the Light' is like peeking into someone's personal journal. It takes courage to be so raw and open with challenges from the past, and to take responsibility for decisions moving forward. The author's story shows the power of choice in changing the direction of one's life, and hopefully her story will inspire those struggling with their own circumstances now. It also reminds us that we never really know the struggles another is dealing with.

A matter of fact memoir that quickly draws you into her life’s journey. You join Louise as she learns to trust herself and her own intuition more than her life’s conditioning.
Her personal story brings hope and the realization that we are never alone. She validates that we know more than our culture confirms, as she naturally communicates with loved ones who have died in their physical aspect. Loved it!

This is such a wonderful tale of self-discovery, of trying to understand those unseen things that call us, and then how we respond to them. Having dealt with many such questions and challenges in my own life, I really admire Louise's courage as she steps into her unknowns. It can be frightening to put ourselves out into the world, as Louise has done, in her life and in sharing her story. These are giant leaps of faith, but in the end they can really help to inspire others and ultimately make the world a better place, one person at a time. Thank you Louise for sharing your stor

This is a great read. Well written, once you start reading you won't want to put it down. Great story of a journey of growth and coming to the purpose of ones life. This is a story that proves every joy and every heart ache brings you to where you are suppose to be in life. Highly recommend.

A self-described medium recounts the life experiences that led her to take up the study of New Age spirituality in middle age in this memoir. Born at the beginning of the baby boom, Crandall experienced communion with the spirit world before she was aware of what it meant or of who the “people” she heard whispering in her empty room at night were or what they were trying to tell her. She had some warm experiences with her parents and grandparents, but her father’s severity and strictness did not allow much respect for a child’s fanciful imaginings, leaving the author feeling that “my little spirit was pushed lower and lower, until eventually it would disappear.” As her “guardian angels and spirit tribe were gathering the forces for what they knew was coming,” young Crandall developed an independent and rebellious attitude that frequently led her into trouble. Running away from the boarding school that was her parents’ last-ditch effort to keep her in line, she ended up living with a drug dealer who forced her into prostitution. But the author was a survivor...........Kirkus Review
